A really great winter veggie. Hardy, almost bomb-proof and a great addition to soups, stews, stir-fries, as a side roasted and/or mashed. Young leaves can be eaten in salads or stir-fries, the bulb is the part you are looking for, harvest at fist size, otherwise they tend to get a tad woody. Stores quite well.
