Nursery & Seedling System

The nursery is where your plants are cultivated and grown to usable
size after being planted by our automated seeding system.

The nursery can grow thousands of young plants at once.

Nurseries are an excellent example of the sustainable, eco-friendly and yet advanced nature of Urban Cultivation International™ ’s systems No earth is used in our nurseries, just shelves on top of shelves from floor to ceiling.

SEEDLING

ANYONE CAN HAVE ONE

Nurseries can be used for various purposes such as to sell directly to the general public as a retail nursery, to sell only to businesses as a wholesale nursery, and to sell to commercial gardeners, and to private users. Nurseries may supply plants for gardens, farms, forestry and for conservation purposes.

SPECIALISED PLANTING

Our nurseries are made with the idea of specialisation in mind. Some nurseries specialise in one stage of the growth process: propagation, growing out etc. While at the same time, some nurseries produce bulk stock of varieties for purposes. Some nurseries also produce stock seasonally, ready in springtime for export to colder regions where propagation could not have been started so early, or to regions where seasonal pests prevent profitable growing early in the season.

MULTI-PURPOSE

Nurseries also grow plants in other spaces besides indoor farms. For example, greenhouses designed to protect young plants from harsh weather while allowing access to light and ventilation can make use of our nurseries and our automated seeding systems. Especially since modern greenhouses allow automated control of various factors about the environment in order to optimise growth, the same way indoor farms do.
